About Me
Judi Binderman, MD is an Advisor at StarBridge Advisors, LLC. She recently served as VP-Chief Medical Informatics Officer for Community Health Systems in Fresno, CA. Over her 8.5-year term, she provided direction and oversight of a fledgling informatics organization, led development of change management governance, Epic upgrade and enhancement prioritization efforts, and created a comprehensive onboarding education program for the organization. She worked closely with the CIO, the CMO, the executive team and the academic deans for UCSF Fresno to ensure that all stakeholders were considered, accounted for, and educated as programs were developed. During COVID, she was integrally involved in many operational initiatives, including COVID vaccination and testing clinics, emergency use medication process, disaster documentation for nursing staff, surge space creation and tracking, and development of a family call center for the ED departments during the “no visitor” period. She was also responsible for design, development and build of both Ethics Consultation program and inpatient hospice processes in collaboration with Hinds Hospice.
She previously served as CMIO for St. Francis Hospital, a member of Daughters of Charity in Lynnwood, CA. While working for several large and small consulting firms, she was the Physician Director for the physician consulting arm. In her role as a physician consultant, she did many interim CMIO roles, notably at Yuma Regional Medical Center, JPS Health in Fort Worth, TX and Catholic Health Initiatives. She has extensive knowledge of clinical content development, electronic medical record strategy, governance, clinical workflow optimization and physician engagement and adoption.
She has been an active member of AMDIS (Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems), HIMSS (Health Information and Management Systems Society), and has done multiple speaking engagements over the years on a variety of topics. She holds her MD degree from Texas A & M University, and her MBA/MHSA degrees from Arizona State University.
