About Me
Paul is an Advisor at StarBridge Advisors, LLC. Paul has broad and deep management experience in software, applications, infrastructure, security and operations supporting mission critical environments. He has built and managed large IT organizations and has overseen the IT transformation and operations of on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
He most recently served as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Boston Children’s Hospital. As CISO he established and managed the Information Security Program, with oversight of security strategy, architecture and engineering, infrastructure and operations, and ensuring compliance with security regulations and standards.
Prior to his role as CISO, Paul had responsibility for all technology and security, and oversaw the modernization of networking, computing, communications, and facilities IT infrastructure. Other major initiatives included implementation and management of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and cloud infrastructure.
Paul has over 40 years of IT experience including 25 years in healthcare and 15 years in management consulting. As Vice President of Product Engineering, Paul was instrumental in building a web and application hosting business for an early internet service provider, Genuity Solutions. While at Hewlett Packard Medical Products Group, he led a team in implementing SAP across the enterprise. As a Managing Consultant at A.T. Kearney and Arthur D. Little, Paul specialized in IT strategy, process improvement, and optimizing IT project implementation for clients in the pharmaceutical, technology, and aerospace industries. His career also spans engineering roles at General Telephone & Electronics (GTE) Government Systems, Martin Marietta and Ford Motor Company.
He holds a Master of Science in Information Systems from Northeastern University, a MBA from Western New England College, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He also is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
